The Casa Turrent Serie 1901 Robusto is a medium to full-bodied, softly box-pressed cigar that showcases the depth of Mexican San Andrés tobacco. A dark San Andrés Maduro wrapper surrounds a double binder of San Andrés Criollo and Negro tobaccos with a blend of San Andrés Criollo, Negro, and Nicaraguan fillers. Rich notes of dark cocoa, coffee, earth, leather, and subtle sweetness are carried by a smooth, refined profile that earned an impressive 94-point rating from Cigar Aficionado.
Fog & Flame Notes: The 1901 marks the birth year of Alejandro Turrent's grandfather, whose work helped establish the family's tobacco legacy in Mexico. Fittingly, this cigar became the flagship of the Casa Turrent line—a blend that introduced many smokers to just how sophisticated Mexican tobacco can be.
