High West Cask Collection Petite Sirah is a limited-release American whiskey combining straight bourbon and rye whiskeys before finishing the blend in Petite Sirah wine barrels. The wine-cask finish brings dark berry and plum character together with the vanilla, oak and spice of the underlying whiskeys.
Food Pairing: Pairs well with smoked brisket, grilled steak, barbecue ribs, aged cheddar, dark chocolate and berry-based desserts.
Tasting Notes: Rich and fruit-forward with blackberry, dark plum, cherry, vanilla, toasted oak and warming baking spices.
Nose: Blackberry jam, dark fruit, vanilla, toasted oak and gentle spice.
Palate: Full-bodied with ripe plum, dark berries, caramel, vanilla and cinnamon alongside noticeable wine-cask tannins.
Finish: Long and warming with dried cherry, oak, dark fruit and lingering spice.
Serve: Best enjoyed neat or with a few drops of water.
